Using data catalog service in iServer

Data catalog service can be used for iServer distributed analyst service.

Open data catalog service in iDesktop

Open data catalog servics in the desktop software to add or delete datasets. The specific steps are as follows:

  1. Open SuperMap iDesktop, click the Open drop-down button in the Datasource tab to pop up a drop-down menu, and select Web Type...
  2. Select BigDatastore in the datasource type list on the left Item.
  3. Enter the iServer service address on the right side of the dialog box in the format: {IP}:{port}
  4. Enter datasource name in the text box after the datasource alias label
  5. Click Open.

Using data catalog services in iPortal

Data uploaded to the iPortal in any format is binary data and can be stored in the iServer DataStore. After the data is uploaded, the uploaded data package can be viewed in the "binary data ID list" of the datacatalog/binary/datasets resource in the data catalog services. After the iServer Datastore is configured and started successfully, the following configuration should be done in iPortal:

Log in to the portal homepage as an iPortal administrator, click Administration- > Server Management- > Managed Server, and select the Managed Data Storage Configuration tab to configure the DataStore hosting for data storage

  1.  Save As : Select DATASTORE.

  2.  iServer service address: fill in the service address of the iServer associated with the DataStore, for example: HTTP://{IP}:8090/iserver.

After the above configuration, you can click the Verify the validity button. If the configuration is valid, the system will give a prompt message: "The setting is valid, and you can connect to the data storage server", and then click the Save button.
