Managing iDataInsights |
SuperMap iPortal provides administrators with the following DataInsights management functions:
Log in to iPortal as an administrator, click Management> Resources Management> DataInsights, then you can uniformly manage all the Insights created by different users.
On the DataInsights management page, click the Create Insights button to enter the DataInsights WebApp page. You can upload local data files, choose one or more data from Sample Data, choose data from My Data, or chose one service from My Services, then perform visualization operations such as charts analysis, spatial analysis, etc.
The insights added and edited by ordinary users of iPortal application need to be reviewed and approved by the administrator before they can be retrieved and used in iPortal.
The insight audit function is not enabled by default. iPortal administrator, after logging in, click Manage > Resource Management > Insight > Insight Audit to enter the "Insight Audit" page, click "Enable" button to enable the insight audit function.
Meanwhile, Portal administrators can enable or disable this function by modifying iportal.xml in [SuperMap iPortal installation directory]\webapps\iportal\WEB-INF folder. For details,see: iPortal configuration file description.
Configure insight attribute fields, i.e., configure which insight attribute fields need to be re-audited by the administrator after being modified. If an ordinary user modifies the approved insight, even if he/she modifies any of the attribute fields, by default, the administrator needs to re-examine the insight. Of course, the administrator can configure in the iportal.xml configuration file which insight attribute fields need to be re-audited after being modified. Insight attribute fields include: name (fileName), description (description), thumbnail (thumbnail), tags (tags), For specific configuration, see: iPortal configuration file description.
After logging into the iPortal as an administrator, you can view the insight to be reviewed in Pending Items on Management>Home page, or you can view them by entering Management>Resources Management>Insight Review page. Then you can perform the following operations:
You can also click the name of the insight to view the details of the insight, and you can directly "pass", "reject" or "delete" the insight at the bottom of the page.
The system will send a message to the insight creator when the insight is approved or rejected, and the insight creator can view the message in "My Messages".
On the insight management page, you can perform the following management operations for all the insight applications created in the portal.
Click one specified insight, the detailed info page will appear, click the "Edit Attributes" button at the right bottom page, you can replace the thumbnail and edit the insight project name, tags and description.
You can rename a insights name. Move the mouse to the target insights name, click the button that appears, the insights name will be in the editing state. After editing, click any blank position to exit the editing operation.
Check one or multiple insights and click the "Delete" button to remove the items you don't need anymore.
Search the insight you want to find by inputting the insight name or owner in the input box on the right bottom page.
On the DataInsights management page, check one or more insights, and click the "Share" button to modify the sharing permissions of insights in batches. The supported sharing scopes include:
If you have selected multiple insights with the same authorized sharing scope, when you click "Share", you can view their current sharing scopes; if the sharing scopes are different, you cannot view them, but you can still authorize the selected insights in bulk. After authorization, these insights have the same sharing scope.
On the DataInsights management page, click the button in the "Set as Featured" column to mark the corresponding insight as a Featured insight. When displaying featured insights in the Resource Center, it will carry the corresponding featured logos, so that portal members can quickly access the featured resources. Note: Insight resources with private permissions can't be set as featured resources.
