Securing GIS service management

Feedback

GIS service sercurity management consists of two aspects: Restrict the permission to publishing, modifying, deleting operations to the administrator; Record all management operations of users.

Administrator account

The admin account needs to be crated when a user start SuperMap iServer for the first time. The user name and password the user created at the first time need to be provided for authentication next time the user want to log in again. Only the admin user can log in Web Manager to perform publish, modify, delete, backup, restore, etc. operations and manage logs, clusters, precaches, security, etc. The admin account is not bound to the operating system, that is, the admin account is the only credential for entering the Web Manager and perform management operations, which ensures the security of the service management.

Logs

SuperMap iServer provides the logs module to record day-to-day running status and operations performed by the administrator after logging in Web Manager.
