SuperMap iServer consists of:
SuperMap SDX+, the SuperMap spatial engine technology, offers a generic access mechanism (or mode) to access data stored in different engines including database engine, file engine and Web engine. SuperMap iServer enables to access data through SuperMap SDX+.
Current version supports for engine types of UDB, OraclePlus, SQLPlus, ImagePlugins, as well as OGC.
GIS services are entities of GIS capabilities, which are provided by SuperMap iServer. These services include Map Service, Data Service, Network Analysis Service, Spatial Analysis Service, and more. These GIS services process different types of GIS requests. The Administrator manage and control GIS services using SuperMap iServer Manager.
SuperMap iServer Manager, a iServer WebManager provided by SuperMap iServer, offers users a remote, dynamic, Web-based service configuration management mode with convenience, intuition and smartness. Working with SuperMap iServer Manager, you can conveniently: manage GIS services, including add and delete service, start and stop services, etc.; manage GIS server system services, including GIS server management, management of logs and cachees, cluster configuration, etc. In addition, SuperMap iServer Manager also provide safety control and backup recovery fuctionality.
SuperMap iServer is not only a GIS server, but also a GIS development platform. SuperMap iServer has SDK (Software Development Kit) included with it and the SDK enables users to conveniently extend SuperMap iServer for meeting diversified demands, making better integration between SuperMap iServer systems and business systems.
SuperMap iServer provides GIS development kit——SuperMap iClient. SuperMap iClient is a series of development kits encapsulated in multi-terminal mode based on a unified service model. The easy-to-use object-oriented programing model enables users to call professional complete and professional GIS functions from the server-side. Provided with independent distribution packages, SuperMap iClient can be updated more quickly and easily.
